Takia M. Oglesby M.D. was born and raised in Fort Valley, Georgia. He is an honors graduate of Clark Atlanta University where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry in 1996 and Master’s degree in Polymer/Organic Chemistry in 1998. He earned his Medical degree from Wayne State University in 2004. After medical school he completed an Internship year at Columbus Regional Medical Center in Columbus, Georgia and then completed his Anesthesia Residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri in 2008. He then completed his fellowship in Pain Management at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina in 2009. In late 2009, Dr. Oglesby returned to Columbus, Georgia and began practicing pain management at Nexus Pain Center.
Dr. Oglesby is dedicated to a lifetime of continuing education, focusing on his particular interests in spinal cord stimulators, and highly invasive pain procedures. Dr. Oglesby volunteers his services in several community service projects throughout the city. He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists and a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
